We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payables Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in managing and supervising the accounts payable department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions. As an Accounts Payables Officer, you will play a vital role in maintaining strong vendor relationships, managing payment schedules, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Job Responsibilities
1. Maintaining the billing system with utmost accuracy and efficiency.
2. Generating detailed invoices and accurate account statements.
3. Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of daily ACH, Wires, and CC transactions, recording them in the general ledger or accounting software.
4. Investigating and resolving any irregularities or inquiries, including returned items, subsequent adjustments, and collection matters.
5. Diligently researching customer payment irregularities and reconciling customer account activity as necessary.
6. Reviewing control procedures and recommending appropriate credit limits.
7. Assisting in general financial management and conducting analysis to support informed decision-making.
8. Proactively working towards increasing successful collections, maintaining an acceptable aging level, and reducing bad debt exposure.
9. Facilitating seamless communication and collaboration between the AR Department and the Sales Department.
10. Identifying accounts that require credit hold due to non-payment issues.
11. Monitoring all activities and implementing processes to improve cash flow and reduce outstanding receivables.
12. Managing and overseeing document retention in accordance with organizational policies.
13. Developing a high-performing team of professionals within the accounts payable department and designing performance indicators.
